Words To Live By is a project funded by The National Lottery and facilitated by Holly Daffurn. The project will support a group of individuals who suffer with long term mental health issues. Through a series of writing workshops these individuals will explore their emotions, experiences and emotional responses in a new and different way which will be form of therapy on their journey to better health. The workshops will encourage participants to develop both their spoken and written word. The participants will be given the chance to publish their writings online, and their final work will be published in a booklet that will be available throughout Worcestershire.
The project will commence in February 2019 and conclude in July 2019 with a printed publication and an event to celebrate this. Individuals from the group may be given the space to perform at this event if they choose to. The workshops will take place on Thursday daytimes from 1-2.30pm in The Hive, Worcester.
The project is managed by Holly Daffurn, an established Worcester based poet and author. You can explore her work here.
